A Pippin Hill Wedding: Jackie and Tanner
I can remember Lesa’s first email like it was yesterday. She had reached out to me after seeing our invitations featured on Style Me Pretty and wanted me to design something similar for her daughter’s wedding. Not only was Jackie and Tanner getting married at Pippin Hill (the same place Bob and I tied the not), but they were also working with Cody from Amore Events who happened to be our wedding planner too! Cody was such an instrumental part of our wedding day and I couldn’t have been more excited to work with her again.
After exchanging a few emails, Lesa and I quickly realized we lived less than an hour from each other! It’s not often that I get to meet my clients face to face, so I was elated when she suggested we get together. A few weeks later, we chatted all about Jackie and Tanner’s wedding over coffee at Starbucks. We immediately hit it off and I felt like Lesa was an old friend! After getting to know her more we realized we had a few friends in common – what a small world!
Over the course of the year, Lesa and I met several times to discuss all the design details for Jackie’s wedding. We started with the save the dates, then moved on to the invitations, and later created the day of items. Jackie wanted the overall look and feel to be romantic, but not too feminine, and have touches of soft pink, gray, and lace. It was also important to incorporate the skeleton key somehow, so I designed a small icon that was carried throughout all of the paper goods. Here are a few images from their big day. How beautiful is the calligraphy from Meant to be Calligraphy?! If you never need a calligrapher, Michele is your girl. Thank you Rothwell Photography for the beautiful images!
